Description
Andrew Davis was not your normal 25 year-old... In fact, he stood out more than anybody he knew. He was tall, skinny, and not all the bad looking, but he was forced to wear these HUGE coke-bottle glasses due to his poor eye sight, to which he gained from the countless hours spent on his laptop watching anime, reading fanfiction, and fapping to furry porn.
Yes, Andrew was an Otaku. A hardcore one at that.
But he was a shut-in; never left his house, for all of his friends were on t3h w3b. He lived in a two bedroom apartment, which he shared with his little sister, Melody. Their parents had moved out of the country for some reason, leaving him to care for the little 10 year-old. Not that he minded. Melody was an otaku just like him. They drew fanart together, watched anime, read manga, even went to conventions doing a double cosplay type deal. She was pretty much the only "real" friend he had...
And Melody felt the exact same way. She was only 10, but knew many things about the world.. Including the existence of non-human beings. She was never the type of child to go out and play with others. She was cold, uninviting, and just plain evil. Her and Andrew's family was special; She found out from a young age that she had the ability to conjure magic and cast spells, as were her mother and father. She also knew Andrew had potential to be something great.. But all he wanted to do was live his shut in life, not at all interested in their Majick. Melody found this disappointing, but allowed him to live Majick free.
~How They Met Ramona~
Andrew and Melody had finally made it to Onigiricon in New York. They'd been looking forward to this convention for almost a year and here they were! They had enjoyed most of the festivities on Friday night, and had stepped outside of the hotel to gather some much needed fresh air, when they noticed a rather peculiar looking girl leaning against the wall of the hotel, not looking at all sober or well. Andrew, although being a shy shut-in, was still a nice guy and asked her what was wrong. She told him she'd gotten drunk and her ride had left her stranded, so she was stuck. After she told him her story (and threw up all over his costume), Andrew and Melody decided she could stay with them in their room until she could find her way home. Of course, that girl was Ramona Flowers, and instead of staying only one night, she stayed the whole con weekend, becoming like a sister to Melody and a romantic interest to Andrew. Sadly, Sunday, after the con, she left without a trace, breaking poor Andrew's heart. Melody wasn't about to give up, however, and vowed then and there to find Ramona.
~How they Met Scott~
It was the day of Toronto's Spring Flower Viewing Celebration, where people would go to the park, picnic and watch the flower trees. Holding hands, Scott and Ramona were walking through the park, when suddenly a small girl wearing a black and red lolita outfit with white dog ears on her head ran over to them, standing directly in front of Scott. She stared up at him, her red eyes boring into his. Ramona gasped when she finally recognized the girl.
"Melody... What are you doing here...?"
"Looking for you, Onee-chan. Finally we've found you..." Melody paused to glare at Scott. "But first I have to get rid of you..."
"Whoa, wait a sec, who is she? She's not another..." he gave Ramona a WTF look, and she shook her head quickly.
"No, she's not my ex, if that's what you're thinking... She's the little sister of some guy I stayed with at a convention before I moved out here."
"M-Melody..." Andrew jogged over to where they were, already out of breath, and bent over, trying to catch some air. "You shouldn't do this, fighting isn't right..."
"Shut UP, Onii-chan. I've been waiting a long time to get my Onee-san back, and I'm not leaving this city without her!"
Scott held up his hands. "I can't fight a little girl. That's just not going to happen."
"Fine then... " Melody took a step back, then began chanting some kind of spell, a small circle of energy appearing at her and her brother's feet. Not soon after did a red light shoot from Andrew's circle, engulfing him in light, and once it disappeared, a rather large anthro tiger stood in his place. He let loose a glass shattering roar, and before anyone could see, he dashed forward and puched Scott square int he jaw sending him flying. Melody smirked, then began laughing manically. "My brother may not have wanted to dabble in Majick, but I did! And I found out his special ability, whether he wanted me to or not... He's a shape shifter, and a very powerful one at that. He's too much of a bitch to fight on his own, so I'm providing... Support." she crossed her arms, chuckling as Ramona ran over to Scott, trying to get him to his feet. "What are you going to do Scott Pilgrim...?"
